Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 11 August 2026 – Malaysia’s palm oil inventories rose to a five-month high in July as a strong increase in production exceeded the improvement in export demand, creating a mixed price outlook for one of the country’s most important agricultural commodities.
Inventories increased 3.32% from June to 2.63 million metric tonnes, the highest level since February, according to industry regulator data. Crude palm oil production climbed 9.41% to 1.79 million tonnes, marking a second consecutive monthly increase and the strongest output in seven months.
