Malaysia Manufacturing Sales Rise 9.8% to RM177 Billion in June

Putrajaya, Malaysia, 11 August 2026 – Malaysia’s manufacturing sales rose 9.8% year on year to RM177.0 billion in June, accelerating from May’s 8.9% increase as electrical and electronic products continued to drive export-oriented industry.

Electrical and electronic product sales expanded 18.7%, moderating from 24.1% in May but remaining the strongest major contributor. Petroleum, chemical, rubber and plastic products grew 4.8%, while food, beverages and tobacco rebounded 2.2% after contracting 5.3% in the previous month.
