New York, 8 October 2026 – LS Power has closed its sixth flagship private-equity fund with approximately US$6 billion of commitments, giving the infrastructure investor substantial capacity to pursue electricity assets as artificial-intelligence demand strains power systems. The oversubscribed fund reached its hard cap within months, exceeding an initial US$4 billion target.
Fund VI was launched in January and fully allocated by July. Its mandate spans renewable and conventional generation, energy storage, distributed resources and other critical infrastructure. The breadth reflects a market in which reliability, grid flexibility and decarbonisation must advance together, even when individual technologies have different risk and return profiles.
