Hobart, 12 September 2026 – Lark Distilling is positioning Tasmanian single malt whisky for deeper expansion across Asia as younger consumers drink less frequently but show greater interest in premium products and distinctive experiences. The strategy places brand storytelling, travel retail and market-by-market distribution at the centre of growth. For investors, the opportunity is accompanied by a familiar consumer-goods challenge: converting premium positioning into repeat sales while maintaining margins and controlling expansion costs.
The company ended the financial year to 30 June 2026 with net sales of A$18 million, up 15.1 per cent. International sales rose 69 per cent to A$1.8 million, while global travel retail sales increased 43 per cent to A$2.2 million. Domestic net sales advanced 7.2 per cent to A$13.9 million. These figures show faster momentum outside the home market, although the international base remains considerably smaller than domestic revenue.
