Jakarta, 4 June 2026 – Indonesia’s largest sector leaders may still be growing, but several are disappearing from global equity indices, raising concerns that the country’s capital market is facing an investability test despite the underlying strength of its corporate champions.
The issue has become more visible after global index providers removed multiple Indonesian companies from benchmark gauges, triggering selling pressure and renewed scrutiny over market transparency, free-float levels, liquidity and ownership structures.
