Jakarta, 19 October 2026 – The Indonesia Stock Exchange has reduced its auto-rejection limit for share-price declines to 7% from 15%, effective from 19 October through 31 December. The temporary rule follows severe market volatility and is intended to slow declines while giving investors more time to assess information and Indonesia’s economic fundamentals.

For regional investors, the measure changes the speed at which losses can be reflected in individual shares but does not eliminate underlying selling pressure. The upper rejection limits remain between 20% and 35%, depending on share price. The asymmetric design is confirmed, while its effect on confidence and liquidity will depend on market behaviour over the coming sessions.
