JAKARTA, 25 May 2026 – Indonesia is preparing to release further details on its new centralised commodity export policy in the coming weeks, as Southeast Asia’s largest economy moves from announcement to execution on one of its most closely watched trade reforms.
The proposed framework will see key commodity exports placed under a more centralised structure through a new state-linked entity known as Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia. The policy is intended to strengthen government oversight, protect national interests and maximise export revenue from strategic resources.
