Jakarta, 21 July 2026 – Indonesia has approved legislation enabling the creation of international financial centres offering extensive tax and regulatory incentives, as Southeast Asia’s largest economy seeks to attract global capital and strengthen its position within the regional financial-services industry.
The law was passed unanimously by Indonesia’s parliament and forms part of the government’s wider ambition to accelerate economic growth, deepen domestic capital markets and encourage international financial institutions to establish operations in the country.
