Hong Kong, 11 August 2026 – Hong Kong and Malaysia are seeking to deepen commercial ties across finance, innovation, healthcare, professional services and the halal economy as bilateral trade accelerates and companies look for stronger links between China and Southeast Asia.
Malaysia is Hong Kong’s eighth-largest trading partner, while trade between the two markets has expanded 2.3 times over the past decade. The first half of 2026 recorded growth of more than 40% from a year earlier, providing fresh momentum for business delegations and institutional cooperation.
