Putrajaya, 1 October 2026 – Malaysia’s Health Ministry has asked newly appointed Grade UD10 medical officers to report to their respective Centres of Responsibility by 7 October, seeking to complete the deployment process for the second phase of permanent appointments. The appointments took effect on 28 September, while the reporting process remains under way. The ministry said 4,255 officers were offered placements through its ePlacement system and cautioned against drawing conclusions before the process is complete.

The ministry has not disclosed a final reporting tally or a no-show rate in this announcement. Treating the offer total as an operational staffing gain would therefore overstate what the current information establishes.
