Kuala Lumpur, 16 August 2026 – Hainan is positioning its free-trade port as a gateway between China and Southeast Asia, with opportunities across shipping, digital trade, investment, tourism and education.
The 35,000-square-kilometre island is expanding Yangpu Port, which currently operates three main shipping routes connected with Malaysia and makes direct calls at Port Klang and Pasir Gudang.
