Gobind Singh Deo Urges IGP and MACC to Disclose Status of Corporate Mafia Probe and Questioning of Key Figures

Putrajaya, 20 August 2026 – Democratic Action Party (DAP) National Chairman and Minister of Digital Gobind Singh Deo has called upon the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to publicly clarify the progress and current operational status of ongoing investigations into alleged “corporate mafia” syndicates operating within Malaysia’s capital markets.

The call for enforcement transparency follows a formal directive issued by the Federal Cabinet in March 2026, which instructed national law enforcement authorities and anti-graft investigators to execute a thorough and comprehensive probe into coordinated boardroom manipulation, asset stripping, and corporate racketeering schemes affecting domestic public listed entities.
