Kuala Lumpur, 21 August 2026 – Diversified gaming and hospitality conglomerate Genting Berhad swung to a net loss of RM27.1 million for the second quarter ended 30 June 2026 (Q2 FY2026), reversing a net profit of RM243.5 million recorded in the corresponding period last year, despite posting double-digit top-line revenue growth across its global casino and leisure assets.
Quarterly revenue expanded 14.2 percent year-on-year to RM7.75 billion from RM6.78 billion in Q2 FY2025, driven by strong gaming volume expansions in North America and robust production gains in the group’s plantation division. Group adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) edged up 1.5 percent to RM2.12 billion compared to RM2.09 billion previously.
