Former Tabung Haji CEO Brought to Court for Remand in Widening MACC Probe into Royal Commission of Inquiry Findings

Putrajaya, 21 August 2026 – A former chief executive officer of Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) was brought to the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning for remand proceedings as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) widens its multi-agency investigation into financial irregularities and governance failures detailed in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the pilgrim fund.

The former executive, aged in his 60s, arrived at the court complex at approximately 9:35 AM clad in standard orange MACC lock-up attire, escorted by anti-graft enforcement officers. The remand application follows intensive inquiries conducted by a dedicated MACC special task force established to scrutinize the extensive findings and recommendations outlined in the RCI report.
