Equinix Expands Microsoft Azure Connectivity in Malaysia to Support AI Growth

Kuala Lumpur, 3 August 2026 – Equinix Inc has expanded Microsoft Azure connectivity at its data centres in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, strengthening the digital infrastructure available to enterprises deploying artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud and business-critical applications across Southeast Asia.

The expansion enables organisations in Malaysia to establish private connections to Microsoft Azure through Equinix’s International Business Exchange data centres. Compared with connections routed through the public internet, private connectivity can offer more consistent performance, lower latency and greater control over how data moves between corporate systems and cloud platforms.
