Seoul, 3 August 2026 – South Korean artificial-intelligence chip designer DeepX has reached a reported valuation of US$2.2 billion following new funding, sharpening investor focus on the commercial prospects and pricing of Asia’s emerging edge-computing semiconductor companies.

DeepX designs low-power neural-processing units intended to run artificial intelligence directly on devices rather than relying entirely on remote data centres. Its target applications include robotics, smart factories, industrial computers, surveillance, mobility and other systems that require rapid inference with limited energy consumption.
