Jakarta, 7 August 2026 – Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, Danantara Indonesia, has forged a landmark $2.5 billion strategic partnership with global protein producer JBS Group, creating a multi-billion-dollar joint venture designed to scale livestock and protein production infrastructure across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Under the transaction executed through Danantara Investment Management, the Indonesian state fund is acquiring a 25 percent equity stake in a newly established joint entity that will hold JBS’s existing operational assets across Australia and New Zealand, marking one of the largest cross-border agricultural equity investments by an Asian sovereign wealth entity.
