Citigroup Hires JPMorgan’s Bhavin Shukla To Lead Asia Infrastructure Banking Push

Hong Kong, 28 April 2026 – Citigroup Inc. has hired JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Bhavin Shukla as managing director and head of infrastructure investment banking for Japan, Asia North, Australia and South Asia, strengthening the US bank’s regional push into one of Asia’s most important long-term financing themes.

Shukla will focus on advisory, financing and origination of infrastructure-related transactions across the region, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg News. Citi confirmed the contents of the memo, which was sent by Todd Guenther, the bank’s global head of infrastructure investment banking.
