CelcomDigi CEO Datuk Idham Nawawi to Step Down at End of August

CelcomDigi Bhd, the leading mobile operator in Malaysia by number of subscribers, has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Idham Nawawi, will be stepping down at the end of August. This decision comes as Idham chooses not to renew his contract, citing personal reasons for his departure.

Following his exit, Deputy CEO Albern Murty will step in as Acting CEO, overseeing the company’s operations during the search for a permanent replacement. That search will consider both internal talent and external candidates, as CelcomDigi prepares for a smooth leadership transition.

Although he is stepping down as CEO, Idham will remain involved with the company as an adviser to the board. He will serve in this advisory capacity through November 30, supporting the transition to new leadership.
