CelcomDigi and Huawei Deliver High-Speed “Fibre-to-the-Room” Solution for Malaysian Enterprises

CelcomDigi Berhad, in collaboration with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia), today unveiled a ground-breaking Fibre‑to‑the‑Room for Business (FTTR‑B) solution, marking a milestone in enterprise connectivity across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. As the first telco in the region to launch such technology, CelcomDigi promises stable, high-speed internet in every corner of a workplace—redefining business connectivity with seamless indoor roaming and superior signal coverage.

Developed using Huawei’s cutting-edge hardware and high-performance equipment, FTTR‑B enhances productivity for businesses needing robust bandwidth for cloud collaboration, artificial intelligence applications, smart office systems, and 4K/8K streaming—all without the pitfalls of congestion or unreliable service.

Building on the foundation set by its consumer-focused FTTR offering introduced last October, CelcomDigi’s enterprise-grade solution ensures businesses remain agile, future-ready, and competitive in today’s digital-first environment.

At launch, CelcomDigi is offering an introductory FTTR‑B package that includes a 1 Gbps connection for RM299 per month and a one-time RM180 setup fee—an exceptional value estimated at around RM2,900, with installation included.

The system is WiFi 7-ready and supports speeds exceeding 2 Gbps, while offering customizable setups tailored to enterprise needs: separate guest and staff networks, advanced security controls, and proactive performance monitoring. CelcomDigi aims to expand this service nationwide, empowering businesses across Malaysia with hyper-fast, reliable connectivity.

According to Afizulazha Abdullah, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at CelcomDigi, FTTR‑B addresses more than just speed concerns. He emphasised: “In an era where critical business functions rely on uninterrupted digital platforms—whether serving customers, managing backend operations, or coordinating teams—our solution ensures peak performance in every corner.”

Zac Chow, Deputy CEO of Carrier Business at Huawei Malaysia, echoed this sentiment, noting the partnership delivers “flexible, future-proof networking” that overcomes the limitations of traditional setups. He emphasised that FTTR‑B offers seamless, high-speed connections aligned with enterprises’ evolving needs, reinforcing efficiency and productivity in the digital era.
