New York, 9 October 2026 – Broadcom is holding early discussions about a financing package that could raise roughly US$30 billion of debt for the next phase of custom artificial-intelligence chip infrastructure serving OpenAI. No formal process has begun and the amount may change, but the talks show how AI demand is moving from technology procurement into large-scale credit underwriting.

The company has already established a financing platform with Apollo Global Management and Blackstone as anchor investors to support more than 20 gigawatts of computing capacity for AI developers through 2028. A new package would extend the model by connecting chip supply, power-intensive infrastructure and institutional capital within a single commercial structure.
