Bank Negara Malaysia Says Future Banking Workforce Must Learn and Adapt Faster in AI Era

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 May 2026 – Bank Negara Malaysia Assistant Governor En Suhaimi Ali has called on Malaysia’s financial sector to move beyond conventional training models and embrace continuous learning as artificial intelligence, digitalisation and emerging technologies reshape the future of banking.

Speaking at the launch of Asian Banking School’s Digitalisation Initiatives and ABSNEXLEARN Digital Learning Portal, Suhaimi said the financial sector is entering another major transformation cycle, but one that differs significantly from previous waves of technology adoption.
