Asia Growth Outlook Improves, But ADB Warns Headwinds Remain

Manila, 10 July 2026 – Developing Asia’s growth outlook has improved slightly, but the region continues to face persistent headwinds from geopolitical tensions, higher energy costs, trade uncertainty and uneven global demand.

The Asian Development Bank raised its 2026 growth forecast for developing Asia and the Pacific to 4.9%, pointing to resilient domestic demand, technology-related exports and continued investment activity across parts of the region.c
