Anthropic Prepares Blockbuster IPO Targeting Up to $75 Billion to Match or Surpass SpaceX Record

San Francisco, 20 August 2026 – Artificial intelligence research lab Anthropic is preparing to launch a historic initial public offering (IPO) that could match or exceed the record $75 billion raised by SpaceX earlier this year, positioning the Claude maker for the largest public stock market debut in corporate history.

A public S-1 registration filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission could arrive within weeks, following confidential draft submissions earlier this summer. Underwriter briefings led by Chief Financial Officer Krishna Rao have outlined an offering structure designed to raise between $60 billion and $75 billion or more, potentially valuing the enterprise between $1.0 trillion and $2.0 trillion upon listing on the Nasdaq. Wall Street investment banks Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan are leading the syndicate, supported by a revolving credit facility closing above $10 billion.
