Jakarta, Indonesia, 12 August 2026 – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has nominated Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor Aida Budiman to become the central bank’s senior deputy governor, placing an experienced internal policymaker in line for one of the institution’s most important leadership roles.
The nomination was disclosed by parliamentary speaker Puan Maharani. Budiman is currently a deputy governor at Bank Indonesia, giving her direct familiarity with monetary policy, payment systems and the institution’s operating framework.
