New York and San Francisco, 19 September 2026 – Accenture and Anthropic have announced a partnership to develop embedded evaluation of advanced artificial-intelligence models, with each company expecting to invest at least US$1 billion over five years. The initiative makes safety assessment a more explicit commercial capability, while leaving important questions about standards, independence and delivery.
Announced on Friday, the work will involve model evaluation, adversarial testing, alignment assessments and checks on safeguards. Faculty, Accenture’s specialist AI business, will lead the partnership. Accenture shares were reported to rise more than 6.5% in after-hours trading following the announcement; that observation should not be confused with the regular-session performance or a guaranteed lasting gain.
