KUALA LUMPUR, 23 October 2025 – Steel Hawk Berhad announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Steel Hawk Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (SHESB), has been awarded eight contracts worth a total of RM60.97 million from Sega Elektrik Sdn. Bhd. (SESB).
Under the agreement, SHESB will serve as the subcontractor for installation, testing, and commissioning works involving 415V and below underground cables, overhead systems, jointing and termination, and related accessories for the Asset Development Distribution Network Division of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). The scope of work spans eight project areas with a contract duration of one year from 23 October 2025 to 22 October 2026, and an option for a one-year extension.
Steel Hawk said the contracts mark another milestone in the Group’s engineering and power infrastructure portfolio, reinforcing its capabilities in delivering mission-critical electrical systems for Malaysia’s national grid. The company added that it has obtained written consent from Sega Elektrik to disclose the award publicly to Bursa Malaysia.
The contracts, valued at RM60,967,202.34, are on a fixed total sum basis. They are expected to contribute positively to Steel Hawk Group’s earnings for the financial year ending 31 December 2025 (FYE2025), though they will not have a material impact on the Group’s net assets or shareholding structure.
Steel Hawk noted that the projects fall within the Group’s ordinary course of business and do not introduce any new operational risks, as the company already provides similar services in the power and utility engineering sectors.
The Board of Directors expressed confidence that the new contracts will strengthen Steel Hawk’s presence in Malaysia’s energy infrastructure value chain and position the company for sustained growth in the years ahead.
