DUBAI, 21 October 2025 – Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) recorded more than 8,000 active registered companies, strengthening its role as the leading global financial hub in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA).

DIFC’s registered companies include over 1,000 entities regulated by DIFC’s independent regulator, Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). Meanwhile, the DIFC Courts processed more than AED17.5 billion in total case values to date.
H.E. Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, said, “As part of DIFC’s significant contribution to Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33), we continue to empower the financial services industry, attract global talent and support sustainable economic growth.”
“DIFC’s success as the benchmark for emerging financial centres is a result of creating a business environment where companies not only gain a license to operate, but a platform to lead and grow. Our framework is built not just for today, but for the future, one that embraces innovation, upholds the highest standards and remains anchored in integrity,” he added.
Established in 2004, DIFC was envisioned to become a world-glass financial powerhouse by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE.
The financial hub is independently governed by DIFC Authority, DFSA, and DIFC Courts. It brings together strategic leadership and a robust ecosystem from DIFC Authority, supported by DFSA’s regulatory supervision, as well as expertise from DIFC Courts for matters on dispute resolution.
Today, DIFC attracts thousands of financial giants, innovators and professional services, making it an exemplary model for rising financial centres in the world.
