Kuala Lumpur, 2 November 2026 – Pekat Group Berhad is acquiring six adjoining freehold industrial plots in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, for RM30.58 million through EPE Switchgear (M) Sdn Bhd, its indirect 60%-owned subsidiary. The six parcels cover a combined 38,108 square metres, and the agreements were signed on 30 October.

The purchase is intended to give EPE Switchgear more room for its manufacturing operations and Pekat’s battery-energy-storage, transformer and substation businesses. The company says its existing Nilai premises cannot accommodate planned growth; investors will need to weigh that expansion rationale against the land’s delivery timetable, financing choice and the group’s existing borrowings.
