New York City, 28 October 2026 – Walmart Inc. said on 27 October that more than 1.7 million associates responded to its first company-wide survey on artificial intelligence, with training linked to higher self-reported confidence. Among associates who completed OpenAI training, the retailer’s people chief reported a 27% gain in confidence using AI; 77% of office-based associates said they felt confident with AI tools, while 84% of US frontline associates reported confidence using digital tools.
