Kuala Lumpur, 28 October 2026 – Malaysia’s Fire and Rescue Department plans to modernise vehicles, stations and equipment under a RM1.8 billion development allocation for Budget 2027, covering 96 ongoing and new projects. The department also plans to acquire two firefighting robots, while its equipment programme includes 80 replacement Fire Rescue Tenders as it addresses an ageing fleet.

The figures describe approved development expenditure and procurement plans, not completed purchases or guaranteed delivery. Execution will depend on tendering, budget timing, technical suitability and the department’s ability to deploy and maintain the new assets.
