Austin, 22 October 2026 – Tesla Inc. reported third-quarter revenue of US$28.05 billion, broadly unchanged from US$28.10 billion a year earlier, while reducing its 2026 capital-spending plan to US$20 billion from US$25 billion. Net income fell 44% to US$787 million, but the electric-vehicle maker generated US$1.5 billion of free cash flow despite spending heavily on artificial intelligence, robotaxis and robotics.

The results matter to Asian investors because Tesla’s production plans influence battery, semiconductor, component and energy-storage supply chains across the region. The quarterly figures and lower spending plan are confirmed company disclosures. The returns from its artificial-intelligence and robotics programmes remain uncertain, while discussion of a possible combination with Space Exploration Technologies Corp. is preliminary and has not produced an agreed transaction.
