New York, 22 October 2026 – Meta Platforms Inc. reported third-quarter revenue of US$64.60 billion, up 26% from US$51.24 billion a year earlier, while its expanded artificial-intelligence investment plans produced a volatile response in late trading and US stock futures. Net income reached US$9.86 billion, including the effect of a US$9.89 billion charge linked to a legal settlement.

Revenue growth is confirmed, but the market response reflects uncertainty over future returns on spending. Higher capital commitments may support suppliers while placing pressure on margins and free cash flow if monetisation develops more slowly than expected.
