Kuala Lumpur, 12 October 2026 – Golden Destinations Group Berhad has proposed a HK$700,000 investment to acquire a controlling interest in a licensed Hong Kong travel agency, extending its regional expansion strategy into another outbound travel market. The transaction would give the Malaysian travel group a 70% stake in Double Happiness Holidays Limited, subject to completion.

The investment, equivalent to approximately RM364,600 at the exchange rate stated in the release, combines the purchase of existing shares with a subscription for new equity. Golden Destinations would pay HK$200,000 for 200,000 shares held by Chong Ching Lee and subscribe for 500,000 new shares for HK$500,000. The larger subscription component would provide capital for the Hong Kong business’s development.
