SC Says Budget 2027 Measures Will Deepen Malaysia’s Capital Market and Regional Reach

The Securities Commission Malaysia says Budget 2027 measures will strengthen regional listings, sustainable finance, wealth management and alternative capital for MSMEs.

Kuala Lumpur, 9 October 2026 – The Securities Commission Malaysia has welcomed Budget 2027 measures aimed at strengthening capital formation, widening access to funding and improving Malaysia’s competitiveness as a regional investment and wealth-management hub.

The regulator said several measures announced under Budget 2027 align directly with the priorities of its Capital Market Masterplan 2026–2030, particularly in the areas of market vibrancy, inclusivity, sustainability and regional integration.
