Bangkok, 8 October 2026 – Thailand is seeking to restore its position on the global investment map by combining political continuity with faster project approvals, as Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul promotes the country to technology, manufacturing and infrastructure investors. His government is presenting renewed stability and administrative reform as the foundation for attracting capital into industries that can lift productivity and deepen Thailand’s role in regional supply chains.
Anutin said foreign direct investment had increased by about 30% since the beginning of the year, while investment applications were on course to exceed the record level achieved in 2025. He identified artificial intelligence, semiconductors, logistics, digital infrastructure and manufacturing as priority areas, supported by access to an ASEAN market of roughly 700 million people. The claims signal confidence, although investors should distinguish announced applications from projects that have completed construction and begun generating revenue.
