Petaling Jaya, 7 October 2026 – Sunway Ipoh Mall has secured tenants for 80% of its retail space more than a year before its planned opening, giving investors an early measure of retailer confidence in Perak and the commercial potential of Sunway City Ipoh’s wider township strategy.

The RM1 billion mall is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2027. It will provide about 1.2 million square feet of net lettable area across four retail floors and accommodate roughly 400 stores. Sunway has unveiled 25 brands and concepts, including seven anchor tenants and nine names expected to make their Perak debut. The early leasing level reduces occupancy risk, although signed space must still translate into timely store openings and sustainable tenant sales.
