Petaling Jaya, 28 September 2026 – Nestlé Malaysia’s operating discipline is drawing fresh investor attention as consumer-goods producers confront more expensive inputs. The company’s latest published interim accounts show first-half revenue of RM3.693 billion, up 7.5% year on year, and profit after tax of RM360.133 million, up 31.7%. Those are reported results for the six months to 30 June, not a forecast for the second half. The question now is whether productivity and pricing can preserve the improvement as the cost environment changes.
The same accounts show first-half gross profit of RM1.193 billion, compared with RM1.044 billion a year earlier. Calculated from the reported figures, gross margin rose to about 32.3% from about 30.4%. Operating profit increased to RM500.757 million from RM394.188 million. The improvement indicates that stronger sales and cost management both mattered in the first half, but it should not be extrapolated mechanically across the rest of FY2026. Commodity costs, currency movements and promotional spending can alter the mix.
