Kuala Lumpur, 22 September 2026 – Social Enterprise Accelerator Malaysia has selected nine Malaysian impact businesses for its second 12-month cohort, testing whether structured commercial support can help community-focused ventures scale without weakening the social outcomes that define them.
The programme, known as SEAM, is run by Biji-biji Initiative and IKEA Social Entrepreneurship with support from IKEA Malaysia. Its latest participants operate across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Kelantan and Sabah, spanning inclusive employment, circular products, sustainable food, aquaculture and community livelihoods. Participants can draw on a programme funding pool of up to RM750,000, with support tied to individual growth roadmaps rather than distributed as a flat grant.
