The warning brings workforce inclusion into the discussion about corporate AI adoption, where productivity ambitions can otherwise overshadow how new opportunities and disruption are distributed.
The Global Gender Gap Report 2026 was launched in London on Wednesday. The forum’s accompanying statement identifies women as fewer than one in five AI engineers, while the launch discussion highlighted exposure among female white-collar workers to changing job requirements. These are indicators of unequal participation and potential disruption, not a forecast that a fixed proportion of women will lose their jobs.
