Kuching, 14 September 2026 – Malaysia’s 2026 national celebration is extending beyond its physical venues through official digital platforms, while the government seeks to position the Malaysia Agreement 1963, or MA63, as a national narrative rather than a regional concern confined to Sabah and Sarawak. The central exhibition at Plaza Merdeka runs from 10am to 10pm until 16 September under a “Corridor of Time” concept. Its five sections cover the formation timeline, historical documents, the committees and commissions involved, national leaders and Malaysian identity. Smaller exhibitions are being staged across all 10 divisions of Sarawak and at locations elsewhere in the country, while official broadcasts and digital channels are intended to reach Malaysians unable to attend in person.
