Petaling Jaya, 7 September 2026 – MN Holdings Bhd has secured a RM67.32 million contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd to install a new 275-kilovolt underground cable system supporting bulk electricity supply to Intel’s Penang operations. The award, undertaken by wholly owned MN Utilities Engineering Sdn Bhd together with Pembinaan Tajri Sdn Bhd, links the group to critical power infrastructure serving Malaysia’s semiconductor cluster.
The system will connect a loop-in-loop-out point to Intel Electronic Malaysia’s switching station. Its scope covers engineering, design, supply and erection for the 275kV underground-cable reconfiguration, alongside associated civil works. The contractors are also responsible for obtaining permits, reinstating surfaces and existing structures, restoring affected areas and cleaning work sites, making delivery dependent on both technical execution and stakeholder coordination.
