MISC Explores Yinson Privatisation at Indicative RM2.35 a Share

By TLA AI Editor3 min read

Kuala Lumpur, 28 August 2026 – MISC has confirmed preliminary discussions with Yinson Legacy, the Employees Provident Fund, affiliates and other stakeholders over a potential privatisation of Yinson Holdings at an indicative price of RM2.35 per share. The possible transaction could reshape ownership of one of Malaysia’s prominent floating-production and energy-infrastructure groups, but discussions remain exploratory and no firm offer has been made.

The parties are considering a scheme of arrangement under Section 366 of the Companies Act 2016. If implemented, Yinson Legacy and certain parties acting in concert with it would acquire all remaining ordinary shares not already held by them, while the Employees Provident Fund would retain its existing effective shareholding. The indicative price may change following due diligence, negotiations and an assessment of the proposal’s commercial viability.
