Tokyo, 26 August 2026 – Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA), the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Bank of Japan, and a consortium of major Japanese megabanks have formalized the rollout framework for a unified nationwide blockchain settlement infrastructure, designed to enable atomic, real-time (T+0) instant clearing and settlement for publicly traded equities, corporate bonds, and Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs).
