Putrajaya, Malaysia, 18 August 2026 – Malaysia’s 2027 Budget will put cost-of-living pressure and economic resilience at the centre of fiscal planning, pairing targeted household support with measures designed to lift productivity and attract higher-value investment.
Finance Minister II Amir Hamzah Azizan said the fifth Madani Budget, scheduled to be tabled on October 9, would be organised around three broad priorities: raising the economic ceiling, raising the social floor and strengthening good governance. The framework is intended to make growth more inclusive while improving Malaysia’s ability to absorb external shocks.
