YTL AI Labs Partnership Pushes Malaysia From AI Consumption Toward Local Building

Ampang, Malaysia, 17 August 2026 – YTL AI Labs is extending its role in Malaysia’s artificial-intelligence ecosystem beyond infrastructure by supporting builder programmes, local applications and broader access to sovereign computing tools.

More than 3,500 participants gathered at AI Malaysia Takeover 2026 at The Campus in Ampang, bringing together policymakers, businesses, investors, developers and technology leaders. The event included the unveiling of the Rakyat Digital portal and plans for an AI Builders Hub from October 2026, designed to help Malaysians move from learning about AI to creating practical solutions.
