Seoul, 14 August 2026 – LG plans to unveil an Nvidia-powered humanoid robot in the first quarter of 2027, signalling a more ambitious move into physical artificial intelligence and intensifying South Korea’s competition with US, Chinese and Japanese robotics developers. The timetable turns LG’s robotics strategy into a near-term product milestone rather than a distant research programme.
The project is expected to combine LG’s hardware, appliances and service-robot experience with Nvidia’s computing and physical-AI software. LG has also been building robotics capability through its business organisation and proprietary actuator production, while broader group plans include deploying 10,000 Nvidia graphics processors for AI training and humanoid development.
