Seoul, 12 August 2026 – South Korea has identified seven strategic technology projects spanning advanced energy, quantum computing, space, biotechnology and critical supply chains, seeking to convert research capability into new industrial growth engines.
The programme, called Strategic Emerging Engines for Disruptive Innovation, is organised around renewable and advanced energy, frontier technologies and a stronger supply-chain ecosystem. Its scope reflects Seoul’s effort to direct public and private capital toward fields that could shape national competitiveness over the next decade.
