Norway Sovereign Wealth Fund Posts Record $184 Billion H1 Profit Driven by Tech Rally and SpaceX Disclosure

Oslo, 12 August 2026 – Norway’s $2.3 trillion sovereign wealth fund, the world’s largest single investor, reported a record half-year profit of 1.75 trillion Norwegian kroner ($184 billion) for the first half of 2026, propelled by strong equity returns across global technology companies and semiconductor leaders.

According to half-year financial results released by Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) on Wednesday, the record performance was primarily fueled by sustained momentum in equity markets. Chief Executive Officer Nicolai Tangen noted in an accompanying statement that the results were driven by strong returns across the equity portfolio, with Asian technology counters and semiconductor fabricators delivering particularly robust performance during the six-month period.
