Sarawak Space-to-AI Project Targets Sovereign Edge Infrastructure

Kuching, Malaysia, 12 August 2026 – Global Engine Group Holding and Angkasa-X Holdings have entered a strategic collaboration to develop a Space-to-AI digital infrastructure platform in Sarawak, combining satellite ground stations, edge data processing and artificial intelligence capabilities.

The agreement expands on a non-binding memorandum signed in May 2026. It supports the Sarawak Space-to-AI Edge proof-of-concept project, which is expected to connect Angkasa-X ground stations with an edge data centre in the state. The Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation is also expected to participate in operations.
